 Patch of the Planet

Patch of the Planet is a project, a mission and an idea.

We believe every patch of outdoor space is a patch of the planet, and that every space wants to thrive.

Our mission is to reimagine gardens for people and planet, enabling nature to flourish.

No matter the size, each garden, back yard, village green or window box is an opportunity to welcome and enjoy nature  in a way that treads lightly on the planet.

 The Nature Garden

We created Patch of the Planet because we think gardens should work for people, for wildlife and for the planet as a whole.

When a garden is meeting the needs of all three, then we call it a Nature Garden, or a 'Patch of the Planet.'

We want every garden to be a thriving patch of the planet, bringing people and nature together.

 Meet Dina and Neil

We've been working with and for nature for decades.

We created Patch of the Planet because we think gardens should work for people, for wildlife and for the planet as a whole. We want every garden to be a thriving patch of the planet, bringing people and nature together.

We've designed over fifty wildlife gardens across England and Wales and trained huge numbers in how to do the same.

Neil's worked at environmental charities including Friends of the Earth and The Orchard Project. He holds a Diploma in Permaculture and is a permaculture tutor. He runs our tree nursery, Trees for Resilience.

Dina has a Diploma in Professional Garden Design, and a Permaculture Design Certificate. She runs our art from nature project, Wyld Arts. Dina has a degree in Life Sciences and worked as a biology teacher.

And together, we run the Patch of the Planet Academy, our training courses and projects and design outdoor spaces.

We are based in Pembrokeshire in West Wales, but our online courses reach out across the country.
